Help us spread festive cheer to survivors of domestic abuse this Christmas
This Christmas, we urgently need your help. For many women and children escaping domestic abuse, the season can bring profound feelings of loss and sorrow, overshadowing the joy and comfort it should offer. As they work to rebuild their lives, thoughtful gifts can restore a sense of normalcy and happiness.
Every year, we strive to provide meaningful presents for women and children in our refuges and community projects, ensuring they can experience the magic of the season. Your generosity can lift their spirits and remind them that they are valued, cared for, and not alone during this difficult time.
How you can support Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid
If you’re considering donating gifts to our head office, please check out our gift guide at the bottom of this page. Physical donations must be received by Friday, 6 December, 2024, to allow time for our staff and volunteers to coordinate distribution. We also ask that all gifts be unwrapped for ease of distribution. The Lilac Fairy will begin delivering gifts in early December, and your timely contributions will ensure that every family receives the joy they deserve. While we receive many wonderful gifts for children during the festive season, women’s gifts are often overlooked. These thoughtful gifts are important in ensuring that the women we support feel valued and cared for.
We also request online supermarket vouchers to provide groceries for our refuge Christmas parties, ensuring that families can enjoy a special meal together during the holiday season.
Local businesses your support is vital! By contributing to our Christmas initiative, you can make a profound impact on families in need in your local area. We invite you to join us in spreading festive cheer by organising gift drives or making financial contributions. Additionally, consider donating funds to help us host magical Christmas celebrations for families in the refuge, creating a warm and joyous atmosphere for everyone involved.
